*Taipei, Taiwan*

2nd flight together with the buddy, Devi!
happened on the 12th of July 2008

both of us were thrilled and anticipating to see how Taipei is as we both wanted so much to go there all along

two news:
the good one is we're both going Taipei together and we're happy!
the bad one is that we didn't manage to stay in the same hotel with the rest, we were assigned to stay in another hotel in the suburban area, Tao Yuan City whereby the others stay in Taipei City.

miserable is one thing, but the other thing was both of us barely able to speak chinese!!!
so, we were telling ourselves that we should be able to pull through by adding our chinese together.lol.
throughout the whole flight everything was superb.
i managed to sit at the jumpseat in the cockpit for landing in Taipei.
the view was amazing.
a life time and one time experience i must say, and the memory will remain in your life forever!
(i know Cliffy would really really love to experience it!and i know oneday, someday you will)
anyhow, check-in to the hotel, we both hurried to change and freshen ourselves up (despite the stress and how tired we are)
and
head out nearly immediately
so, Welcome to Taipei!!!

at first we wanted to go to Taipei City to meet up the rest at Shihlin's night market,
but looking at the time that will be consumed to travel all the way there and the cab fees which cost up to TWD950
we decided to stay where we were and head to Tao Yuan's night market instead which will only cost us TWD110
(see the difference?!)
so the night market was basically all food lar.all we did was eat, eat and EAT all the way, throughout the whole street!

we being filled with curiousity, gluttoned down every new and interesting food there is.
we had smelly tofu(which tasted awesome!), then some steam dumpling(thinking of it makes me hungry), fried oyster egg with some funny sauce(something we both no likey), fried pork cutlets and some shweet potato balls(yummy!!!)
after that, feeling all so guilty to ourselves, we made a decision to walk back to the hotel instead of taking the cab for firstly, we were able to save up and secondly, it's an exercise, so nothing to lose anyway.
so there we go, walked all the way back to the hotel which took us approximately an hour plus to reach!
on the way, Devi bought cigarettes for only around S$2 per packet.
(cigarettes there are hell ouffa cheap!)
and i bought the all time famous mini pearl drink!
(:also i did bring my baobei along...even devi bring hers!!!

the next day, we went to the shopping centre around the area.
before that, we had breakie and then we went to visit one of the temples nearby.then at the shopping centre, got myself a bag that is really really cute(designed with cats and umbrellas which i gave it to mummy already)
then we went to Carefour to get some titbits
bought loadsa titbits, from biscuits to meat and jelly pots!(:

we eventually got so broke lar after all the buys ended up walking back to the hotel again but this time for another reason: we hadn't any money to take a cab!
that's how we spent our time in Taipei.

on the other note,
im missing my buddy very much
especially flying with her.
now im all alone.
i mean we are all on our own.
